“综观世界与我国局势发展，女性角色日益受到重视，我国首相也认同应提供30%的代表权予妇女，换句话说，马华妇女组应趁着这个有利于妇女的趋势站稳立场，勇往直前，有话直说，据理力争！
我向来都是敢怒敢言的，我已经领导森州马华妇女组26年，也已经担任了4届的全国副主席，我相信我的形象跟我的立场是非常鲜明的，就是，就事论事，对事不对人！
其实，现在的妇女组，已经是另外一个形象了。由拿汀巴杜卡周美芬同志所领导的妇女组也开始变成在有什么事情发生时，也敢呛声了！换句话说，在专业论政方面，我们已走出了很大的一步！”
"The role of women is increasingly important given the prevailing global and national development. The Malaysian Prime Minister agrees that women should be given a 30% representation at all levels. This means that Wanita MCA should take advantage of this favourable trend to consolidate its position and move forward, to speak when it is required and to secure its rights which it deserves.
I am always a very outspoken person. I have led the Negeri Sembilan Wanita MCA for 26 years and have served 4 terms as the National Vice Chairman. I believe I have clearly projected my image and made known my stance on various topics: I only deal with facts and do not personalize matters and I deal on with any matters based on its merits.
Wanita MCA today projects an entirely different image under the leadership of YB Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun and does not hesitate to speak out on any issue. This is indeed a huge step forward!"
